Wanted to say a couple of words because it was a great experience with them, from the front admin staff when you walk in the door, to the guys who actually did the job. I was a bit uncertain going in because I don't know much about welding, and wasn't sure if I looked ridiculous inquiring about the job I wanted done. I have a rear bike rack that I not only like but it also happens to be the only one I could find to fit the configuration of my bike frame and I searched for ages before finally finding it. The problem, though, is that the aluminum extender support rods that go from each side of the rack and attach to the rear frame were too short. Extremely disappointed, looking at these things thinking did I waste my money, will I every find a rack that fits, something always seems to go wrong, etc, etc, you know what I mean, it was one of those kinds of situations. Doing a bike ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls soon and the rack has to be solid on the bike. Anyway, thinking to myself, wait a minute, is it possible to have someone weld another 3 inches of aluminum, 3/8 inches thick rod to each of the existing rods? Did an internet search and immediately found Mobile Welders, but still wondering of course if a welding company would do such a small job when they've got other major jobs on the go. Found the shop easily, very close to Eglinton/Danforth. Lovely smiling ladies when I walked in the front door, they called one of the managers to the front, and he, much to my surprise, immediately said sure we can do this for you no problem. Man, was I ever happy to hear that. He ended up giving me a pretty good discount and when I arrived back a couple of days later, the job they did was perfect. Couldn't even see where the weld join was on each of the rods. I was thrilled with the job they did and, frankly, gave myself a pat on the back for taking the time to see if there were any welders out there who were willing to go beyond for someone, sort of more 'community-minded,' I guess you could say. Chatted with some of the admin staff before I left and found out that they do all sorts of smaller jobs, the kind of things that a lot of people don't know can be done by these guys. In fact, I'm now thinking of another alteration to the bike that they might be able to do. A couple of past customers brought in bird cages that needed minor repairs, chandeliers, and even a Dior chair. So, for you guys out there who have an item that you love and needs some touch-ups, before you give it away or just give up on it, check these guys out. They may very well be able to bring it back to new for you.

DDM Mobile Welding Ltd, Are A great bunch of people and very knowledgable in their craft, I recently lost my wife and I needed a cross made to show the plot for the winter until i could get the stone put in place, I asked them for a 2 ft cross, they made it out of stainless steel (no rust) and when I went to pick it up, they would not take a payment (Shows they are not just about making money) I would suggest them to anyone who needs welding or metal works done
