Great company, great products.. I have purchased a both a 22 Ghost and 21 Air from Apollo.. While the Ghost is still boxed till spring 2023, I will write about the 21 Air Base which has been out a few times when the sunny/dry weather permitted. Build Quality A+ Stem Thickness, Folding Mechanism, Deck Lining and Deck Width all equals a sturdy confident ride. Pneumatic tires and front stem shock led to a smooth ride, so far so good. Apollo scooters customer service is absolutely "Best in Class" after service care and after sale support will make or break a deal for me and there team has been Gold Standard thus far!

Minus one point for paint breakage where the clamp for folding mechanism clamps, but this was addressed and handled to my satisfaction by their team, again post sale care is Top Notch. Hook and latch systems which many of their new models employs negates this issue. With that all said and this being a somewhat expensive purchase A++ for Apollo as a class leader in many regards!

I ordered my Apollo Ghost in June 2022. It's now end of September, 2022 and I could not be happier with it! It's a fantastic ride, powerful, looks cool and feels premium. I weigh 245 pounds and this thing has no problem scoot'n me around. It's a blast! I've also had a chance to interact with their customer service. In August, I lost two of the rubber axle nut covers while servicing the scooter. I emailed Apollo and I was helped by a person named "Sonny." Sonny was quick to respond to me and made sure I got the parts that I ordered. Very easy to do business with. I won't lie, I was hesitant to spend $1,700.00 on a scooter at first but I have zero regrets now. All around great experience and a great product! Keep it up, Apollo!

The Air 2022 is all around an excellent scooter. The build quality is great and the scooter is extremely smooth and sturdy when riding. Upgrading from the GoTrax XR Ultra the Air 2022 is a whole new world of comfort.

Acceleration is great and the scooter does achieve the top advertised speed of 35km/h (even when the max load capacity is reached). However I had some difficulties at first. Reinstalling the app appeared to solve the issue. But then I discovered another “issue” that may be plaguing other Air/City riders.

If cruise control activates before you reach the max speed the scooter will set the cruise control at its current speed. It will stop accelerating beyond the cruise control point until either you break or fully reengage the throttle. Extending this activation delay to 10 seconds allows me to hit max speed most of the time before cruise control activates.

Being able to customize settings including acceleration, regen braking strength and cruise control activation delay is a must have for any new scooter. Personally I use acceleration 10 as a heavier rider.

Why did I pick the Air over the City? For me it all came down to portability. The Air is 20 pounds lighter and a little smaller. Something I need especially for my apartment stairs. However, I also wanted the ability to carry the scooter into places easily if I needed too. Additionally the scooter I was upgrading from was only 26 pounds. So jumping up to 38 was already quite a step.

As for Apollo’s support, they couldn’t have been more helpful with an issue that arose with my scooter. The support system is easy to use and the team responded promptly to my support request. They offered me a solution that solved the issue and were extremely proactive in shipping another throttle should I need it. Their overall response was relatively quick and they made sure I had the proper support throughout the process.

    My scooter settings:
    Acceleration: 10
    Regen: 6
    Cruiser control delay: 11 seconds

    Pros:
    - Braking is incredibly smooth with a variable regen brake throttle that allows riders to precisely apply the right amount of stopping force
    - Top speed of 35km/h
    - Handle bars are at the perfect and offer a wide stance that is great for comfort and ride stability
    - Still portable. Although 38 pounds is not light its still easily manageable to carry for short distances
    - Smooth ride thanks to the front suspension and plush 10" air filled tires at a soft 35 PSI
    - Screen is bright enough to see in direct sunlight
    - Incredibly quiet and never sounds like the motor is struggling

    Cons:
    - Throttle had begun to stick (support did help me to fix this promptly and was extremely proactive in their support)
    - Kickstand does seem a little weak especially for the weight of the scooter
    - Scooter odometer shows a slightly higher distance than actual distance ridden

Over a week ago my Apollo Scooter arrived by UPS in this condition. I think Apollo needs to more securely package their scooters. A piece of the styrofoam packaging was rammed up under the fender either during packing or shipping and caused the damage shown. Matthew from Apollo got back to me somewhat quickly by email and is arranging to send a replacement rear fender which I’m still awaiting to receive. He also emailed me with a video showing how to replace the fender.
In the meantime, using some duct tape my wife has been able to make use of the scooter. She loves it and many people have stopped her and asked about it. Their usual comment-I’ll have to get one of those.
My wife, for whom I purchased the scooter, has fibromyalgia and finds walking painful. The Apollo Air scooter has opened a whole new world to her. She is able to move around again freely without having to painfully walk long distances. She is so happy with the scooter. Thank you to Apollo for making this possible.
By the way, I’m seriously considering getting a scooter for myself so that I can “scooter” alongside her. Perhaps a two-for price for couples!!!
