(August 16, 2019, 3:47 pm)The stewards were very knowledgeable and amiable. It was my first experience with this sort of interaction. It was hands on, in that a warbler was banded while there and we were privy to the process. As well, I held the bird before releasing it.

(November 29, 2017, 2:00 am)Bird banding at the McKellar Island Bird Observatory is a great experience for people of all ages. You can drop in any morning during the spring and fall migratory seasons (except when raining or with high winds), and enjoy the outdoors while you learn about and interact with the birds that fly though. I highly recommend it to any nature lovers.
