The day I visited a bunch of local folks were at the patio discussing gardening etc -- good vibes all around! -

(June 29, 2019, 2:50 pm)What a great cafe! After camping at Kakabeka Falls, we stopped here for breakfast. According to my husband (who tends to be very picky about his coffee), the Colombian medium roast he ordered was smooth, strong and hot just the way he likes it. I ordered a Maple latte...YUMMY! Not too sweet with a hint of maple (not overpowering). On to the baked goods... the butter tarts were very tasty. If you like sweet with a buttery, rich crust... then you will love this delicious treat. I also ordered a rhubarb scone. It was moist, buttery and not too sweet. My husband ordered a cinnamon roll (he's picky about his cinnamon rolls too) and enjoyed it tremendously. Next time we're in the area (we're Texans), we will DEFINITELY visit this lovely cafe again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Metropolitan Moose.
