Great place for camping and more. Clean with good facilities
Love, love, love this place!
Wonderful place to relax and enjoy....GREAT staff....work hard!!! Thanks from Drew & Ruth
The yurts are so cozy. The staff friendly. Fresh coffee in the morning served at a reasonable price. Beautiful gift shop with handmade native goods. We booked one cold weekend of cross county skiing and hiking on beautiful trails. Our first time winter camping experience was a great one.
We've been to many campgrounds but Black River by far is on the top of our list. The campground itself is excellent well-maintained. The staff is exceptionally courteous and very friendly. Absolutely one of our top campgrounds.
A beautiful and well maintained place, with the river winding through the grounds. You must buy their firewood and kindling (which is reasonably priced) to have a fire. They offer public restrooms with showers, and have a convenience store at the entrance. It's a quick drive to washago where the local grocery store also sells booze and there is of course a Tim Hortons. All in all you have everything you need for a great trip with very little planning required, just be sure to bring an inner tube or raft to enjoy a day of floating down the river with some friends and/or family.
