(December 6, 2019, 9:48 pm)Another Gem in Canadian History. Nancy Island would no be if not for the HMS Nancy herself. Built in 1789 in Detroit Michigan for the Forsyth, Richardson Company of Montreal. She is Named after Richardson daughter and served for numerous years in the Fur Trade before being commandeered to serve in the British Navy. In August of 1814 she was spotted hiding on the Nottawasauga River. The Americans attacked, but instead of them capturing her the Commander of the outpost decided to scuttle her. She burnt to the waterline and in time the silt of the river became an Island. Next time you're at Wasaga Beach, check her out. A very informative Muesum and of course the remnants of the Nancy herself! ???

(August 11, 2019, 7:46 pm)Really loved the place. Little theatre and a little museum with a shipwreck. Worth the time to walk around. Not more than an hour of your day. Payment is donation based.

(August 5, 2019, 12:05 am)A great place to relax & learn more about the history of the area. Visiting this place is a great a way to relax after spending a day at the busy beach. There’s a theatre, museum, and lighthouse at Nancy Island historic site. Moreover, the staff are so knowledgeable with regards to history of the area and can share with you a lot of stories.

(September 2, 2018, 4:03 am)Great experience. Beautiful scenery and the people working there are fun to talk to...although maybe not always the most knowledgeable they are very friendly and helpful. It is some walking and the lighthouse is not the easiest of climbs for some. But my family had a wonderful time
