  A fantastic experience! My daughter and I went for a trail ride in August and loved the personalized service, the friendliness of staff and animals, and the scenery. Highly recommended!

  I recently went for a trail ride at Glen Oro and it was a day I’ll never forget! The whole process of booking the ride was super simple. Luke was quick with responses to any questions I had and super helpful when my friend had to cancel last minute. Upon arriving on the farm, I was greeted by Luke and a group of some of the friendliest dogs I’ve ever met. Kahlua, my horse for the ride, was super calm and friendly which was perfect as I was a first time rider. The trail ride itself lasted about an hour and went all around the farm, which included vast fields, rolling hills, and a beautifully peaceful forest. Luke also shared some of the history of the farm and the horses and his dog Scout even joined us for the ride. Before saying good-bye to Glen Oro for the day, I was lucky enough to get a quick tour of the massive vegetable garden on the farm and was even given some veggies to take home with me! They tasted amazing and ended up making an amazing salad and kale chips! :)
  
  So if you’re looking for a place for a couple of hours of fun riding horses, that’s run by friendly people, and surrounds you in beautiful scenery, Glen Oro is the place for you! I’m already hoping to go back in the fall to see the fall colours in the forest!

  What a fantastic time we had! I brought my daughter for a "daddy-daughter date" during our vacation this year. We both love riding, and she takes lessons weekly, so we really wanted to find a trail ride experience that wasn't just 10+ horses lined up nose-to-tail walking along a simple path like go carts or a kiddie ride.
  
  When I contacted Glen Oro I mentioned we wanted something better than the typical trail ride, and that's what we got. Luke was great to work with in the days leading up to our visit and during our two hours at the farm.
  
  We were introduced to our horses (selected for us based on experience level and age) and went through the full preparation process with them. Then it was off to the ring for a quick orientation (probably to confirm that our claimed experience wasn't just talk) which again helped Luke to know what kind of trail and landscape we could enjoy.
  
  The majority of our time was spent enjoying a personalized tour of the woods and fields surrounding the farm. The views were beautiful, and the horses were well trained but still had unique personalities.
  
  After the ride we cleaned up the horses and took them out to graze for a while to show them our appreciation.
  
  Afterward, my daughter claimed this was her favourite day of our two-week vacation. I have to agree!
