    I thought about having Melissa train me for over a year before I finally saddled down and said yes. I can't believe I didn't sooner. I was in a vulnerable place and she made me feel comfortable. She worked with me to design a pan to suit my needs, as I had just gone through many surgeries and needed to be careful of certain things. Its been 2 months and my results have been amazing. Her dedication and constant encouragement are amazing. She helps you build life long habits, not just help you loose weight. She can't be beat.

    I first started working with Melissa after I had my first baby. I participated in her stroller fit class first. Melissa was so caring and understanding, even though at times there would be 20+ mom's, she would ensure to take the time to spend with each of us and answer any questions as well as ensure we knew how to do the workouts properly and provide any modifications necessary.

    Once I returned to work, I could no longer attend stroller fit so I started to do one on one training with her. This is where the true work started. I had a gym pass, I would passively go, but always avoided "that side of the gym" - the manual weight side. Melissa took the time to really get to know me- ask what my goals were. For her it's not about the money- it's her passion to help her clients achieve realistic- healthy life goals- not the quick lose it /fad diet and quick exercise routine. Melissa taught me all about proper nutrition, how to fuel my body, get organized as well as teach me proper routine that fit my lifestyle and help me gain the confidence to use manual weights and properly. I now not only can workout on "that side of the gym" but spend 90%of my time there and love it. I then transferred to working with Melissa as an online client and continued to receive amazing support and workouts that work and push me.

    Fast forward to 2020. I am now newly postpartum again and during all of this Melissa has provided me with online support, stepping back from my exercise routine and just focusing on. Getting my core strength back and proper nutrition. When I am ready, I know she will be right there to support me in my fitness journey.

    Before Covid 19 hit, I loved attending Melissa’s classes in person at the gym. When classes got cancelled, I was worried I wouldn’t be motivated to workout from home with the kids. That was until Melissa started developing at-home workouts that easily replaced the workouts I’d normally complete with her at the gym. Melissa is extremely encouraging and supportive! I’ve actually found it easier than I expected to complete the workouts from home. I like that they are always challenging and focus on really strengthening areas that are much weaker on me postpartum. I am always sore after completing the circuits, and I feel significantly stronger all over, but especially through my core and pelvic floor muscles. I highly recommend Melissa! I’m so grateful to her for continuing to offer ways for me to achieve my health goals while being stuck at home.

    After a year of losing weight through diet alone, I still was still lacking confidence, strength, and energy. Personal Training with Melissa has helped me to make drastic improvements in all of these areas! Melissa's knowledge, support, and motivation have been invaluable to me and my weight-loss journey. Each workout is specifically catered to my body, skill level, and goals. Since we began I am seeing benefits such as strength, flexibility, confidence, and energy! I cannot thank Melissa enough for the change she has made not only in my body, but in my life!

    June 2020 UPDATE

    I have known Melissa since we were 10 years old and playing on the same hockey team. I was new and she was the girl telling me to come sit with her in the dressing room, and showing me how to play defence. She’s still the kind of woman who will invite you in and teach you everything she knows because she cares. She is very supportive, knowledgeable, an amazing role model and teacher, and man will she make you sweat in a workout! It has been almost a year and a half since I had last worked with Melissa, the time had been a whirlwind for me. I completely fell out of routines, and so much of the progress I had made with Melissa was quickly lost as I returned to poor eating and movement habits. When the pandemic started, I was working from home and living a very sedentary life. I also felt disheartened with state of the world, while dealing with isolation. I knew I needed to make a change. If I wasn’t going to leave my house for the next month, I felt the only thing that might keep me sane was moving my body everyday. I messaged Melissa and she took me on again as a client that day, sending me personal challenges and circuit workouts daily. Melissa is so talented when it comes to designing circuit workouts that don’t get boring! The workouts have really driven my productivity, desire for self-care, and a lot of personal growth over the past few months. Thank you Melissa for all of the positive work you do to inspire people to move and love their bodies!!

    I have been training with Melissa since 2018. When gyms were closed due to COVID I was really worried that all of my progress with Melissa would be lost and that I'd no longer be able to train the way that I was, but as always she stepped up to support her clients with daily texts providing great workouts. I've been able to maintain a workout routine that still keeps me on track and feeling great and she's been there for support through text or email when I have any questions or concerns. I love her daily personal challenges as well and so appreciate her constant encouragement. Only a great trainer like Melissa would be able to keep her clients on track during a global pandemic. I feel so lucky to have found her!
