I brought Bogdan my father's Hanowa dive watch. It is likely close to 50 years old and I have very fond memories of Dad wearing this when I was a kid, I'm almost 50 now myself. Dad gave it to me when I was a teen and I was not very kind to it. So when I found it again recently I was surprised it still wound and appeared to work. Bogdan gave it a tune-up for me, replaced the glass with the proper vintage part he had in his shop and provided a new retro feeling band. I'm now wearing the watch again and it keeps excellent time (so long as I remember to wind it). My experience with Bogdan could not have been better, he answered my questions and educated me on the process. He made me feel like I'd brought him a Rolex - I will bring my next vintage find to him for sure.

Went in today and was very happy with the quality of customer service I received. He took care me quickly and spent some time educating me about watches aswell. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this place for watch/clock enthusiasts or anyone looking to get a watch repaired. Thanks again, your auction friend

I rarely do reviews of businesses, or anything for that matter, on the internet. One experience cannot offer enough data for me to proffer a recommendation to complete strangers. Having now brought several classic timepieces to Bogdan, I can offer my undiluted praise for his work, work ethic, professional performance of repair work and most importantly; his honesty. I have, as a result, recommended to several friends and a family member who have classic high quality timepieces that they send the repair work to him.
I have an heirloom timepiece from my father. It is, I found out, one of the most complicated mechanical watches ever made. This explains why numerous watch repairers (including the finest in Vancouver) refused to accept the task of repairing it. The parts are difficult to come by and I insisted on original quality European parts rather than Asian replicas. I looked for 15 years for a person who could confidently attempt the repair as the "authorized Canadian repair shop" had failed and damaged the watch in their disassembly when I dealt with them through Birks Jewellers. The value of the watch is so much higher to me emotionally than its market value that waiting to find the right person was not an option but necessity.
I cannot tell you how elated I was to find that Bogdan not only knew more about my watch than anyone else (including myself) but that he actually honoured the quality of the timepiece at least as much as I did. The work was successful, done with the right parts - thanks to his European contacts - and he signed and dated his repair inside the watch. That is a confidence that is worth a 15 year wait as I will have at least that many more years to enjoy it before needing service again.
If you have a timepiece that you value, I can safely say that Bogdan is the best choice that I found in interviewing watch experts all those years. He is an honest and talented timepiece expert. The fact that it has always cost me less than expected - or quoted by others - to have the repairs done was not a huge factor for me given their heirloom status; it may be more important to you.

We took an older Dutch clock in as it hadn't run in years. We were told that it would be a couple of months because he wanted to clean it up. When we picked it up he told us that we would have to play with it until it ran consistently. It did take a few months but then it began to run smoothly. We really appreciate the awesome job and once again we have a beautiful Timepiece to treasure. Thank you for everything.

Located in Cookstown at the junction of highways 27 and 89, a short drive north of Toronto, you will find Timepiece, a unique clock and watch shop established by its owner Bogdan Lukaszek in 1994. The shop is worth visiting to view its collection of clocks and watches and other objects. One can see a history of clocks and watches in the store; it is a miniature museum. Bogdan who trained in Europe is an expert in clock and watch repair and demonstrates his extensive knowledge on clocks and watches with discussions on the many items displayed in his shop. You may even be able to purchase one of the items from his extensive collection. He has a number of intriguing grandfather pendulum clocks from bygone years to catch your interest. I have been very satisfied with the service that he has provided for over 10 years.
