(September 15, 2021, 3:56 am)This is a large kinetic sculpture made with an image of a Thunderbird, carrying people's dreams and desires to the Creator. The wings are shaped as sharp blades that move with the wind. The sculpture is both interesting and mythical to behold.
When I visited last weekend, the sculpture was decorated with children's shoes and toys, as a memorial to the children lost in former residential school. It was a dark page in Canadian history and around the world where young and the vulnerable were victims of racial injustice. Let's do our part and don't let history repeats itself. -
