Beer Store

The Beer Store was, at one time, a great place to work. They had competitive wages, good benefits, work-life balance, and a strong union culture. That has changed dramatically since even I began with the company. Wages are now on the low end for the amount of labour involved, benefits were cut, burn out is the norm, and the union does little to fight for the company. The average Beer Store employee works hard and long hours and would be an asset to any company, The Beer Store itself just does not seem to recognize it.

One of several distributors within a few minutes drive of each other, its a well stocked location, with commensurate customer service and easy access. Right beside Kawartha Dairy.

Staff are excellent and friendly. It's a busy store so often I can see why they are trying to move quick. With all the "professional can collectors" coming in it can be a bit disheartening says my wife but overall they have good selection. Store can be a bit messy but we are all there for the beer anyways.

It's a bit of a mixed review... On the good side, it's very close to home, they're open late 11pm most times & the selection I want is usually available if not upfront... in the back. The bad side, lots of sketchy types lurking around, the bottle return area is always pretty busy, but they do a decent job of clearing through it quickly, the pay terminals constantly don't work for tap purchases, this location seems to be understaffed quite often. But, it is what it is, it's a beer ???? store. I guess it could be alot worse. Lol
