Hi my name is Paula,I have MS (multiple sclerosis ). I am limited to some activities, that I had in the past been very independent.
Just recently my grandmother took a turn for the worse (she was 92) . She lived
at the Cobden nursing home. My husband due to business obligations was unable to drive me . I could probably have driven myself , but fatigue being my #1 nemesis, I didn't want to chance the drive home. A friend suggested to call Calabogie Home support. I didn't think I would qualify for their help. But this service is not only for seniors but also for people with disabilities. I phoned and was set for the next Monday. I was picked up at my door . The very friendly gentleman helped me into his truck and stored my walker in the back.
I had a very warmfelt visit with granny, after a couple of hours it was time for me to go, after visiting with my uncle.
My drive was waiting patiently for me . And brought me home. The reason I am writing this message is ,2 days later granny pssed away ,and I was able to spend some private time with her,due to Calabogie Home support people . I won't mention his (driver) or the nice lady who answers the phone and my many questions. But I will mention their kindness. Thank you both for giving me the opportunity to see my grandmother , her and I were able to have one last visit . Bless you both .
