(February 12, 2021, 12:48 am)Our project consisted of a full gut of our basement which was a relatively large job which is why we were mindful in selecting the right contractor for us. After having about 7 Contractors come in and quote our project we decided to go with Alex at A&R Renovations for a couple of reasons. Pricing was in between the other companies, and with our initial discussion we got the sense that Alex took great pride in his work, was experienced, and told us like it is and we felt that he would stay true to his commitment. A&R Renovations is also insured and he was able to provide a certificate of insurance which was an extra level of comfort when selecting Alex.
After 95% of the project is complete we can confidently say that we made the right choice with Alex. He arrives at our job site everyday weekday and is never late. He stuck by his word that he would be at the job site every day which has lead to a number of advantages, the main being quality of workmanship as he is the one doing most of the technical aspects of the project and there is a consistent dialogue with the ability to tackle any issues that may arise during a project.
We are very pleased with how our basement has turned out, nothing was done sloppy and Alex' pride shows in his work. Throughout the project, the site was kept clean with very little debris left at the end of the day.
Overall, Alex is a straight shooter and tells it like it is. I would recommend A&R Renovations and the other reviews are consistent with his product. -

The quality of his work was excellent, and everything was done on time and fast. Alex had great ideas over the course of the project that were both practical and cost effective. We'd definitely use Alex for any future projects. Thanks again!

(December 10, 2020, 12:23 am)We discussed renovating our master bathroom for several years, however, we always hesitated due to the stories we heard from friends. Then, in October, we decided to proceed. Alex's professional webpage and positive customer reviews prompted us to request a quote. His quote was slightly less than others and we had a positive, comfortable experience during the initial visit, therefore we asked Alex to do our reno. Alex answered all of my questions about materials and design.
He explained my options clearly. His workmanship is excellent and the final product is beautiful! The job was finished on time and within budget. I am recommending Alex to everyone who admires our bathroom! -

Our bathroom was long overdue for a renovation and it needed a complete overhaul as we had water damage around the shower. Alex was incredibly knowledgeable & helpful in guiding us through the project. This included pointing out that our fan had not been hooked up properly and ensuring it was fixed. As well, he made us aware out issues with the tiles we had selected and guided us to ensure we had the quality we were looking for.
Everything was completed on time & budget. We are more than happy with the quality of the materials and the work! -

With a timeline that worked for us. He showed up on time and completed the project on schedule and on budget..He worked with us to develop the best solutions for our older home. Alex is very detailed oriented and his workmanship is excellent.He also works with excellent subtrades. HIs painters went above and beyond. i would not hesitate to use Alex again or recommend others..
