She likes Ms. Maya very much, and made tremendous progress from being a complete beginner to performing RCM level 7 songs confidently. With a lot of experience, Ms. Maya knows how to individualize her approach for each student. She is kind but firm, patient but has expectations! Ms.Maya uses the lesson time very well. Her lessons include a wide diversity of skill development through the usual collection of level appropriate performance and practice books and She helps my daughter to explore different music styles, including classical, jazz and popular. If you're looking for a piano teach who is gifted, professional, caring and fun, Ms. Maya is your first choice!

In her teaching she blends just the right amount of firm demands with kind encouragement, depending on the student's goals and abilities, to maximize commitment and progress. Definitely recommended!
