  Dr. Ho is great, my results came out fine on the first test so he spent the consult explaining more to me than any doctor previously had about the already diagnosed murmur, now I’ve developed a different heart problem and hopefully he will be just as great to see today! However there was another doctor I saw I was completely unsettled, in the consult they didn’t even speak to me they recorded a dictation for their notes and didn’t ask for a family history assumed I was healthy without asking and disagreed with me on that when I said no before I could explain I have multiple health conditions including two autoimmune diseases, he just insisted I am healthy cause I’m young, I heard him mumble something about antihistamines into the dictation and had to specifically ask him what he meant about that, turns out I couldn’t have non-drowsy antihistamines something he didn’t plan on telling me and something I was going to be using because I was having allergic reactions and I’m very sensitive to the regular antihistamines, I tried to ask what other medications I need to avoid because I need to be very informed considering my health but he wouldn’t tell me he just asked what medications I might take, said a couple of them were fine and cut me off, I need to know more because I have multiple medications that my specialists could change or prescribe at any time and he didn’t give me any info like “don’t take any that raise heart rate” so I had to ask the pharmacist if it was ok to take cold medicine and they couldn’t give me a recommendation on what I could tell them because i only have vague info about an issue with my heart, I haven’t been taking my occasional use medications that really help me sometimes cause I couldn’t ask about all of them, he also told me that he’s pretty sure it’s just anxiety like excuse me I wouldn’t be here if it was just anxiety if it was just anxiety I’d go see my therapist but it’s not so don’t go telling me my heart rhythm changed because of something I of anxiety I didn’t even notice I had don’t tell me I can’t exercise anymore because I’m nervous, and then I had to wait months for an “urgent” test on no exercise orders so I had to quit my job cause I couldn’t take that long of medical leave (also because my bosses are discriminatory) but I shouldn’t have had to wait months for an “urgent” test that is ridiculous I saw two more specialists in that time and they all saw me later and got all my non urgent tests done sooner than this one. I don’t feel safe about my health the way that doctor treated me, like I said, Dr. Ho is wonderful but that other doctor was horrendous, I failed a stress test during the appointment and he wouldn’t even tell me why, like do you want me to freak out while I wait two months? Thanks no thanks, that doctor was just horrendous. But I can’t condemn the whole place because they do have a great Dr. Ho, I very much appreciate a doctor like that, at least there’s one doctor that understands that the patient having more knowledge helps ease patient anxiety and that not telling the patient anything worries the patient and that oh I don’t know I’m a human being that deserves respect when spoken to? That’s a really nice touch. And the techs are all pretty average I’d say, some better some not quite as good but they all get the job done.

  Good clinic, great environment. Very friendly and actually care about their patients. Would recommend. :)

  Having your heart checked out is stressful enough. The staff at Alta Cardiac are absolutely wonderful. Very helpful and kind and they do a great job making you feel comfortable with the situation.
