I must commend the after-sales service of Riobel to provide a counter-view to some of the negative reviews. I inherited the Riobel shower fixture from the previous owner. It has been at least 3 years since we moved in so it's been installed for longer.
A few months ago, only cold water would come out so the cartridge was gone. I assumed we would have to find and pay for a replacement. Like some comments, it is indeed hard to find a replacement cartridge for this brand.
As a last resort, my wife tried contacting Riobel. They sent a replacement, no questions asked. At nearly the same time, the shower hose started to leak and while trying to figure out what was wrong with the old cartridge, I had to drill the Allen screw to the handle as it was rusted out.
We got the cartridge, hose, and handle all replaced. Yes, it took a long while - many weeks but I'm forgiving because of the supply chain issues due to Covid.
If you can't shower or use your faucet, I can see how this would be frustrating but these guys are trying so I must commend them on effort with my experience.
I would like to make sure Riobel realizes how wonderful Steve in Technical support was for me . He was attentive and supportive and patient while helping me solve my installation issues on a tub assembly: TEQ16BK. The instructions were very vague and did not identify the issue. Steve analysed the issue and we finally found the solution. Thank you Steve!! I would recommend this product to anyone. P.S. improve your directions with some text. Thank you Dave Lines.
My shower head was leaking and after identifying the Riobel part I needed, I contacted customer service. Patricia was so helpful and knowledgeable. She got me the part I needed and provided instructions on best practice behaviours. Thank you so much, I installed the new part and the drip ceased!!
