  Extraordinary experience!
  
  I was in to see the Kawai KDP110 in person, learn a bit more about it, and see how it stacked up against the competition before making the big decision. I'm a timid shopper, and hate high-pressure sales. Did I ever get lucky with Merriam Music!
  
  Patrick Panus was immediately available to walk us through the instrument, demonstrate its capabilities, and give a more detailed rundown of where it fits in today's marketplace. He was wonderfully knowledgeable, polite, and most importantly: respectful. He understood what I had come for and did not try to pressure me into a big up-sell. He offered to show other models in and around my price range to give me a better idea of where I stood, and never made me feel like I was wrong about what I was interested in.
  
  Also noteworthy in his quiet, professional manner was the innate and intuitive understanding of when to give a buyer some personal space and let them try out the pianos on their own. He was still within easy range to call back for questions, but not hovering impatiently, quite content to give me the time I needed to get comfortable with my purchase.
  
  After getting a spot-on recommendation of a restaurant nearby where my husband and I could think over the different models I had tried, we were very happy to return and close the deal. The pricing was all above-board, honest, and best of all: under-budget. That only sweetened the satisfaction of getting exactly what was appropriate for my needs, and feeling confident and secure in my decision.
  
  Just when I thought the service could not possibly be any better, the gentleman looking after the front desk didn't bat an eye when we sheepishly admitted to having a Honda Civic to get the digital piano home. He sprang into action - de-boxing the components, helping to load them into the car in -18C weather (sorry!), and disposing of all the extra packaging and cardboard.
  
  TL;DR - Professional and caring staff, beautiful store (even under renovation), and service that went much further than the extra mile. These guys are the real deal!

  My boys who are 7 and 9 years of age have been attending MERRIAM since they were 3. I did a lot of research into finding the right music school for them and feel I have found it in MERRIAM. They started in group piano which was amazing. The teachers were engaging and made learning piano fun. They have been in private lessons for the past few years and have had amazing teachers throughout. Paymon, the administrator is phenomenal and has done a lot to increase the number and quality of the recitals. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a high quality engaging program.

  I love this music school. I’ve been a music teacher for over 20 years and have recently started taking lessons again to help refine my skills in certain areas. I had driven past Merriam lots of times but had never been inside. I decided to try taking lessons there. Six months in, I’m really glad I did. The staff is very friendly, the teachers are caring and enthusiastic, and the school is extremely well organized and looked after.
  
  The regular performing opportunities and other services Merriam offers outside of the regular weekly lessons take it to a whole different level compared to other music schools.

  My son loves going to Merriam Vaughan for group piano classes. All his teachers have been professional and knowledgeable yet fun and engaging for the children. The administrator, Paymon, is fantastic. He is always so fun to be around for the children and really gets the kids excited to learn and perform. I really like how the group classes are structured. Small class sizes, learning both practical piano and theory, and having opportunities to perform in both small and large settings. The teachers are always very engaging, FUN and approachable. The classes are well organized. Most importantly, my son has thrived in his piano classes. I have seen so much learning and improvement since he began at Merriam and the greatest thing is that he loves it!
