I rarely think a place deserves 5 star review but StarChiva does!

Tables were spaced out nicely - you do not feel cramped.

When seated, the staff automatically bring out a large bowl of hot water to clean your bowls and utensils (using tongs) - they don't touch the bowls and utensils with their bare hands! Excellent service ?

When customers left, the staff sanitize the table/chairs immediately.

They are very diligent with their cleaning practices which I appreciate!!!

Starchiva cuisine is a brand new fine dining cuisine located at Richmond Hill. It took over Dragon Boat and opened around 2 months ago during this Covid19 tough situation. I actually surprised it is almost full house in a weekday. The tables are spread out more than 2m with the plastic board between tables. We were seated immediately, and the manager helped all of us clean the cups, bowls and chopsticks with hot water.  A+ service. We ordered a 3lbs lobster combo ($128). The lobster is fresh and with the maggi sauce and little fry fish on top of the lobster. There are half chicken, stir fry jumbo scallop with XO sauce, snow pea leaves with fish broth. The combo also include crab meat fish maw soup. We ordered additional fried rice and jumbo clams in broth on top of the combo. Everything is delicious, only the crab meat fish maw soup lacks a bit flavor. The lobster and jumbo scallop are amazing and outstanding, highly recommended. Included in the combo is the slice of cake dessert per person instead of some traditional Chinese sweet soup dessert. The waitress told us the cake is made in house as they also own the cake production factory. We agree that we will be return to Starchiva for another time
