Prorab

I needed to hire someone to remove the popcorn ceiling from my house as it was unsightly. So, I contacted a couple of contractors to get a quote from different sources like Kijiji, homestars etc.... I was looking for someone who can do the job while we are living in our house.

Selection process
When I contacted Prorab (Vlad), he immediately dropped by in the afternoon to check out the house, provided a methodical process as to how he will be doing the job and how it will affect us (moving to another room on which days). I like the fact how he was patient in explaining the process and answered every question I had without being pushy. He also uses only Benjamin Moore paint.

Preparation for the work
Prorab started by covering the whole house with plastic and paper on the floor. At the end of the day, he cleans up before leaving the house. I thought it was gonna be hard to live in the house while removing the popcorn ceiling but my experience has been great. HE is also very careful and mindful that he doesn't damage the floor or any furniture in the house.

The work
Vlad was very meticulous in his work and ensure that after the stucco have been removed, every imperfection in the ceiling is fixed before painting over it. He did 2 coats of paint. Since another pot light company is installing pot lights, he suggested to do the 1st coat and let the pot light guys install and then do the 2nd coat. This is to ensure that if the pot light guys damages or dirtied the ceiling, he will have a chance to fix it before putting in the final coat. I have to say that he was also very considerate to ensure that I have a place to work since I am working from home.

Conclusion
My ceiling is flawless!!! Prorab did a phenomenal job of removing the popcorn ceiling and finishing it while we are living in the house. I can't say more about how good the quality of work is. There were no surprise expenses. It was as we talked about. The price is also very reasonable and affordable. Everyone who saw my ceiling said it looked fantastic and flawless. I would recommend prorab for all your stucco removal and painting needs. Thanks Vlad!!!
