Adapting to our current environment, I really appreciate that they are able to organize a drive thru testing site. There is a bit of a wait. I waited 2.5 hrs. It is best if you made an appointment through Maple (I was in a rush, so I was willing to wait).

Everyone was friendly and the results came within 30hrs. Please research ahead for the map to line up properly; also, go to the washroom first and bring some water, you’ll be in the car for a bit!

TL;DR - book an appointment (if you can wait a day to get tested)!

Great experience getting tested at CVH’s drive through COVID-19 clinic. I used the online appointment booking tool as the Trillium website advises that there may be long wait times if you show up with no appointment.

Every time I drive past the hospital there are at least 20+ cars waiting in line that haven’t booked an appointment.. and those are just the cars I can see from Eglinton.

Booking an appointment is pretty straight forward. You click the link on the Trillium website, enter your OHIP card number, and then it takes you to a very minimal and well designed website (Maple) where you fill out your basic information. I was paired with a doctor who called me within 5 minutes to review any symptoms and my reason for getting the test. He advised that I would receive a call from CVH within 24 hours to book my appointment.

I received a call the next morning - 22 hours later. Not sure if this long lag time in between was due to the fact that I had no symptoms. The lady on the phone was really friendly and gave clear instructions. I was able to book an appointment whenever I wanted that day.

When you show up for your appointment you get to drive up straight to the security guard and avoid the long line up. There are front line workers that ask you some basic questions while you wait in the parking garage in your car. There were only 4-5 cars ahead of me.

Everything is very organized. The nurse that swabbed me was extremely friendly and informative. Made the entire experience less nerve wracking.

The test only takes 3 seconds. It isn’t “painful” and is just a sharp sensation. My eyes were watering a lot but I was okay within a minute. The feeling went away within 10-15 minutes.

I got my results online the next afternoon (approximately 20 hours later) even though they said it would take 3-5 days.

Make an appointment with the Maple app - saves the wait. Takes a few days for the process, but you do speak to a physician right away. Make sure you answer your phone when they call you later to give you the appointment time; it’s a private number, No Caller ID.

    Here’s how it went:
Day 1 - assessment through Maple then phone call with appointment.
    Day 2 - physical test.
    Day 4 - online results.
Results can take longer, some people get them in less time. Just be patient and kind, the world needs more of that right now.

Great experience at this location. Went in on August 9. I got there at 8:28 AM and got back to my house in Oakville at 9:07 AM. No appointment. The process is very organized. Lots of social distancing measures are respected and carried out. The staff there go above and beyond making it a comfortable experience. I was nervous at first but they made sure I was okay. Got my results August 10. I tested negative.

Make sure you're not in a rush before you go. I can see they're working as diligently and as fast as they can. Really greatful that it was drive through as well. I didn't book an appointment or anything either. Thank you to the awesome people there for what they do!!
