  I attended the Prism Eye Institute on January 3 and was pleasantly surprised to find the waiting room uncrowded in contrast to my visit of a year ago. This may be due to reduced waiting times. I was seen by a technician within 5 minutes of my appointment time and by Dr. Shoam 20-25 minutes after my session with the technician. All in all, a very satisfactory visit. The appointment card that says I should allow up to 120 minutes for a visit. I would have a problem with this length of time.

  I can't say enough wonderful things about my personal experience at Prism, specifically with Dr. Ike Ahmed and his team. I am a young patient who had complex vision needs and a lot of fear going in to the whole process. Dr Ahmed made me feel much more at ease the moment I met him. He truly cares for his patients and the outcome of their surgeries. A quick google search of his name will show you just how amazing his qualifications are!
  I've seen that many people have rated their experience based on the atmosphere and the admin staff. Is it a tight squeeze sometimes when you're waiting to be seen? Yes. Are the staff somewhat flustered and a little less chipper than most would like? Yes, sometimes. But would I deal with those minimal issues in order to be treated by a world renowned surgeon who had the capabilities of changing my life? Absolutely! In fact, I'd do it a thousand times over.
