Another road recovery home has given me my life back. They saw my potential when I couldn’t see it for myself. The home was a supportive, caring and cozy place for me to distance myself from drugs and alcohol. Through structured days, group counselling, independent counselling, and various meetings they took us to I was able to start to see the changes I was going to be able to make to stop my addiction. The counsellors were understanding, and being former addicts themselves I was understood better than any doctor or psychiatrist I have ever tried to get help from. This home was essential for me to be able to stop my pattern of substance abuse, I would recommend it highly to anyone considering making this change in their life.
I highly recommend this treatment center for many reasons. To name a few, this treatment center has compassionate, professional and qualified counselors to help addictions. These counselors showed me compassion that I didn't believe existed and still share the road to my recovery by taking time out of their day to reach out to ask how I am doing. They believed, supported and introduced me to the tools I needed to help me recover. Well structured, very resourceful, peaceful scenery, constructive therapy group and individual sessions, clean environment, comfortable bed, well balanced schedule and healthy food choices. This place will go above and beyond for you, but you've got to do the work, nothing changes if nothing changes!
Another Road is absolutely serene with the large pond in the back of the centre, the green grass, and the tranquility in general of the place. Volunteering there teaching yoga was a pleasure because the clients were so friendly, had great support from the staff obviously, and felt comfortable enough to let go and truly transform. The staff is very encouraging and invested in each of their clients' recovery. They are friendly beyond words, and very knowledgeable in addiction and recovery. The facility is inviting and has a clean, homey feel. To anyone suffering from addiction of any kind, Another Road promotes a Twelve Step approach, an endearing and peaceful atmosphere, and supremely supportive staff that is there to help. Thank you for the opportunity to give back. What you do is amazing. Another Road has a truly transformative energy.
