The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - St. Catharines

Waited 1 hour & 15 minutes for our dinner to arrive with two children at the table. Everyone knows children need to be served first and quickly as they cannot wait for their meal as an adult can. Maybe they were short handed in the kitchen but the wait was far too long.

First impression was great. The building is older and all stone, so it's absolutely gorgeous! Lots of seating.
The service was great! Waiter was very attentive and we never had to wait for refills. Nice quick service!
I had the sirloin oscar, a steak that is topped with asparagus, scallops, and shrimp, and then smothered in an amazing creamy bearnaise sauce. The mashed potatoes I picked were delicious. My steak was cooked exactly how I like it. Drinks were good, although I think they could have a bit more selection as far as cocktails. Highly recommend this location.

The best steak I've ever had and i go to top of the line steakhouses on a regular, appetizer and dessert was awesome also. The staff was excellent especially our waiter. I'm definitely going back❤❤❤

The Keg in St Catharines seems to be busy all the time and it is for a reason. The food over all was well executed. Though service was pretty slow, it was quickly forgiven when we got a free ice cream pie dessert because we were celebrating a special occasion. I had prime rib and lobster. Both were cooked perfectly. The beef was tender so was the lobster, not chewy nor overcooked. We ordered baked Brie to share and the waitress was considerate that there were 4 people on the table so she brought us extra toast for the baked Brie. Their sour dough starter was warm and very tasty as usual. Overall I really did enjoy the outing there.

Such a gorgeous building, probably the nicest Keg I've been to. Hostess staff not so friendly but that's not surprising considering they get no training at all (like at every other restaurant). Service was good and the food was amazing (It always is at the Keg). Would definitely recommend.
