Tesla has been adopted as the most important scientist by the local government because he drove the development of the modern AC power transmission system (while Edison kept pushing the nearly worthless DC transmission concept). Fortunately, Tesla worked Mr. Westinghouse to do practical things while Edison did all he could to claim all the credit for this and many other things he did not invent and destroy Tesla’s reputation and deny him the money he should have earned. Without Tesla our great grandparents would have been in the dark for years longer.
