I really enjoyed this short hike to both the upper and lower falls. The mill, ball family legacy, and geological history was all very interesting. Beautiful surroundings. Be careful at the falls. Many are wandering over the railings to get a closer shot, or crossing the falls to get the opposite bank. Very rocky, and slippery. Not worth it. The ruins and large fallen boulders covered in moss at the escarpment causes the imagination to wander. Like a scene from lotr.

Very nice place to visit. The village is well kept, with scenic views and well maintained trails throughout. The upper falls are worth the walk and easy to get to. Looking forward to visiting again next year when the weather is nice again.

My family and I went to Ball's Falls (which I can't stop saying and laughing at the same time, lol 😂🤣) as part of our time in Niagara and it was truly a lovely spot to visit if you want to get of the car and go for a walk that will last 30 to 95 minutes depending on your time to wander and explore. You do have to pay for parking $8 per adult, $24 for the entire car for the day but the price is worth it as it really has some incredible views. Temper your expectations though as there wasn't much of a waterfall at the upper and lower falls at this time of year but the chance to stand at the top of a waterfall is pretty cool and scary at the same time. There are also some heritage buildings near the lower falls with an active grist mill used during the Fall Festival and a small, quaint church. Apparently weddings are held here and I can see why as it is really a beautiful area.

Easy walk, too bad can't get near the falls but worth it to look at. The small village was also a great sight. Very informative and very spooky. You won't get lost as the path was clear. Beautiful place to explore any day. We even visited after a heavy rain the day before but we didn't mind the mud.
