Mom passed away recently due to complications from Alzheimers. The care and compassion Mom received from the management and staff at Post Inn Village truly gave us comfort. Everyone we came in contact with at Post Inn Village made us realize she was in good hands. We would like to specifically mention the Social Service Worker, Sachan, the Senior Nursing Manager, Marina, as well as all the nursing managers, the Life Enrichment Therapist, Ryan, the Occupational Therapist, Cilesia, and all of the wonderful PSW's on the 2nd floor - Willow. Special mention must be made of the Lunchtime Kitchen Manager, Biljana. Biljana very quickly came to know what foods Mom would eat, the texture required, and she made every effort to ensure Mom had what she needed and her concern was evident. We continue to be very touched when we remember Biljana's interest in and caring for Mom and hope that all those who require memory care could experience the compassion of this wonderful team. I can't speak for Nursing home area however for the Convalescent Care Area, (Oak) the nurses and PSWs and overall staff is fabulous. They really care about the patients and their progress. Helen Ann who is coordinating admissions is also extremely caring and compassionate. I have highly recommended this facility to numerous people. Mom has been there several times and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. The last time she went in we had been told by Hamilton General Hospita Staff and St Peter's Rehab Center in Hamilton that mom was 94 yrs old and would never walk again. Well she proved everyone wrong. She went to Post Inn Village and just under 3 months she came home walking about 35-40 ft (although slowly and with a walker, she did walk) Then once home she did improve even more. I highly recommend this Convaslescent care program to anyone who needs to improve, regardless of age.
