  Chartwell Oakville is a wonderful resource for families in need of respite care programs locally. They have a terrific, caring staff who work diligently and with pride to care for residents and visiting seniors. The respite suites are spacious, well equipped, clean and safe for guests who have various challenges. Medications are dispensed through Chartwell's pharmacy partners and by fully qualified staff members. The dining room is large offering two seatings for lunch and dinner. A private dining room is available upon request for special family occasions. Breakfast is optional as all suites have kitchenette facilities. Food is very good and well portioned. A bistro is also available for beverages and snacks. Lots of social spaces are positioned throughout the main level offering games, puzzles, fitness and wellness programs & "Happy Hour." Movies are shown nightly in the theatre lounge. Excursions are offered to various locations locally and further afield. Secure, underground parking, Library and Tuck Shop offered. All spaces; public and private are large, bright and airy. Of course, everywhere is barrier free. The emphasis is on independent living but some individuals do have mobility devices. Private care staff also can be accommodated for residents and guests. Chartwell Oakville partners with a number of service providers for medical equipment and rental services. If you're looking for independent seniors living or in need of respite care, you cannot go wrong at Chartwell Oakville or any of the Chartwell residences.

  My wife’s mother just past away two weeks short of age 95. She had been living at Chartwell Oakville for over three years. She absolutely loved living there. The food was always excellent and the staff were always very helpful and caring. You get genuine warmth and sincerity from all of the staff all of the time. They were heart broken when my mother in law died.
  
  The manager Drew is a prince and was always very respectful and bent over backwards to help. Mila in the front office is truly an angel who is always on top of what is going on. The staff in the wellness centre went far beyond what would normally be expected of any seniors residence. Simply stated, Chartwell Oakville is always kept impeccably clean and very well managed. It is worth noting that they are continuously updating the facility far beyond what one would expect which I found impressive.
  
  Deciding on the choice of a seniors home for a family member can be a difficult decision. Even after all of the research and tours it is still a gut wrenching experience. I am writing this review to help other people who are now in the position that we were in three years ago. Chartwell proved to be a wonderful decision that we never regretted. People make the difference and from the top down the staff here have the “right attitude” and genuinely care. Many thanks!

  Hello Robyn,
  I just wanted to thank you for offering space for Wild about Wellness events on a monthly basis at Chartwell Oakville. We had a fantastic meeting last night and everyone is raving about the location and the lovely environment!
  Mila is always so pleasant and helpful every time our group arrives.
  Thank you also for the coffee tea and water, and the platters the chef created were amazing! You can tell he is so committed to his work.

  Chartwell Oakville in Oak Park is a treasure! My Mom lived there for 3 1/2 years and returned last year for another 8 months. Every staff member is very dedicated, caring and extremely helpful. The only reason my Mom is not living there now it’s due to her decline in her health; otherwise, this was her home and family. The atmosphere is one of joy and happiness. I especially want to thank Drew, General Manager, Sophia, Wellness Director and Mila, Front Office Manager. Without all of you I would not have been able to keep my Mom’s self-worth and her confidence. Thank you!

  My mother lives at Chartwell Oakville and I can't speak highly enough about the treatment we have all received from the amazing staff there. From the management team down, we have always felt included as part of the family. The food is incredible! I eat with my mom almost every week and I can't thank the team in the dining room enough for the amazing service that they give us. It's nice to see a place where the practice is that the Chef (Ken) comes around to every table during service to chat and see how the meal is going. I haven't worried once about my mom since she moved into Chartwell Oakville because I know she's being taken care of by an incredible team!
