  Always a great meal, maybe a tad pricey but the quality is there. It doesn't feel like it's a 15 year old making my meals - there is thought into the presentation and size. Feature lists on Thursdays are a nice touch. I have never had an over cooked steak from the menu. Friendly staff - great wait staff that will remember your name and make it feel like a comfortable place. Very busy on Thursdays and Fridays but not enough to have the staff forget about you.
  
  I don't agree with the grilled calamari being dusted, burger buns are way to small.

  My husband and I, along with another couple went in for dinner. We received a friendly greeting, and were lucky to get a seat immediately as there were only two tables left available. We ordered two different kinds of Burgers, Chicken Stir Fry, and a Avocado Chicken Salad. Every meal was fantastic! Portions were great! The table next to us had the Nachos which looked so good that we have that on our list of things to try next. We weren’t there to watch a game, although there are TV’s everywhere (if you want to watch), they didn’t disturb us. We didn’t find it too loud to talk within our group. The prices were reasonable. In fact, my wine was almost half the price I paid at a Downtown Oakville Restaurant. Our server was wonderful and we were acknowledged by the Manager who said goodbye and thanked us for coming in. Overall a great experience and we highly recommend The Oakville Pump!

  I would like to say that this Pub is great for pub food, their wings are fantastic, burgers are fantastic, everything is well priced.
  
  What I have to complain about was the quality of the fish they were serving. Both me and the person I was eating with got fish dishes (risky at a pub not known for fish and chips, I know). She got the Halibut (pan seared), I got the fish and chips (also Halibut but breaded and deep fried) and we split an order of grilled wings. The dishes come out and we start eating... First bite for her: "I literally cannot eat this, it's like chewing a piece of rubber." For the record, this fish was advertised as caught fresh, but this clearly showed signs of being frozen for who knows how long. I take a bite of my fish and chips, a bit chewy but that's okay maybe its the batter. It was not. I took a single bite of that Halibut and had to chew it like a piece of rare steak before I was able to get it down.
  
  In all fairness, our server was amazing and took it all in stride, never batting an eye at our complaints. In addition, the wings were amazing and the burger I got to replace my fish was also incredibly good.
  
  All in all this is a good spot, but beware that some dishes are not exactly as advertised.

  Fairly priced for the large portion sizes. My wife had so much salad that there was lots for lunch the next day which was perfect! The food was delicious and the service was quick but welcoming. The place definitely needed a good freshening up. Good job!!!
