Kelso Conservation Area

  Have been to Kelso several times over years. It’s a great place for hiking and trying canoeing or kayaking which can be rented in the place. During winter, skiing hill is open but no tobogganing is allowed which is a drawback.

  Beautiful area. Didn't know there was a ski resort up here. Nicely set up for all sking levels.

  Boating was excellent, better than boating at blue mountain. Gorgeous lake. A beach area is also there. Tracking to Kelso peak was exciting with beautiful views but two disappointments, 1.) the kids activity almost like treetop trekking only way up high, was extremely difficult even when kids were accompanied by one parent up there, they needs to ease it up in some capacity for kids. Also staff in that zone needs to pay attention to help kids being stuck in tough situations instead of parents screaming and asking for their intervention.
  2.) it would have been best if chair lifts were working for going up the hill for lookouts & views. It’s a lot of walking, a lot. It would be great if they can consider keeping the chair lifts running even in summer. The tracing was beautiful up there.

  Slopes were in good shape. None of the elevators worked in the West lodge pass. There for 3 *s. Seemed a bit pricey for what it had to offer. On the positive side - ski lifts had no lines.

  Really nice park! There were various trails which was great. However, the payment options were not specified clearly and the trails were not well identified so it was hard to know which way to go and if we were close to the end of the trail.
