(June 12, 2021, 11:13 am)Our driveway of interlocking stones was re-graded and laid and our porch refinished by Davel in 2016 in Waterloo. We had some initial issues with uneven stones and these were repaired fairly quickly. We also had some issues with the refinishing work on the porch being very uneven- and they offered to overlay with stone. We didn't realize we were still under warranty (our fault) last year when the concrete paint began to peel. This spring the stones began to fall off of our steps.
I know we aren't under warranty but wanted to offer this story because you might expect a decade or more of life from the work, but ours began to fall apart right around when the warranty expired. Because we had to go back and forth during the initial job a number of times and there were significant delays with the original job (a huge inconvenience albeit addressed) as well as this disappointing situation after (less than) 5 years, I have given this rating of 3.
I don't expect support from Davel as the warranty has expired, but will update if this does occur. -

(August 5, 2020, 7:04 pm)We had our entire front driveway & walkway done in paver stones a few years ago by Davel Construction. They did an amazing job and it looked fantastic. People that were just walking by were knocking on my door asking who did the driveway because it looked that good!
August 2020 Update: The side of the driveway was coming apart a bit due to the steep drop off. These guys came out today and fixed it up like new. When I asked how much they simply said "No Charge". What a pleasant surprise. These guys really stand behind their work!!! -

(August 7, 2019, 5:29 pm)Excellent and reliable company with great communication and fast responses. So easy to deal with. Absolutely kept all promises from start to finish. Such a fast service too. They prepped site and installed interlock in 1.5 day.They kept construction site super clean and left no mess. They also replaced bushes for gorgeous hydrangeas which was an awesome touch. Tom and Dave are amazing honest professionals. Even after project was complete Tom followed up with me, which showed great customer service. I couldn’t be more happier with the company and finished result. I highly recommend them.
