  A beautiful parish that is home to my family. The services are beautiful and true to the Orthodox tradition. My family is inspired to attend, learn and grow in the Orthodox Christian faith. Our Lord Jesus Christ's purpose for us is to drive away from our hearts falsehood, pride and diabolical malice, and to implant in their place His truth, love, meekness, and humility. We attend service because we are imperfect, because we are sinners. We attend service because we want to improve our lives, be closer to Christ. When the scribes of the Pharisees saw that He was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they said to His disciples, "Why is He eating and drinking with tax collectors and sinners?" And hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
  When you come to our church, you will not find a parish filled with perfect, sinless people. Rather, you will find a variety of individuals at different places in their spiritual journey. To be a better Christian is to eventually find true humility within ourselves – and that indeed is to know and identify that each one of us is the first and greatest of sinners. As Jesus said “He who is without sin, cast the first stone”. We are all sinners, this is why are we seeking God.
  I can understand that visitors may feel overwhelmed. Our hope is that you feel peace, love and Gods presence and I apologize if you felt otherwise. I would encourage you to speak to the Parish Priest if you have questions about your visit and I pray that you move forward with a happy spirit!

  I love going to church now. I finally can understand the priest and I feel he can relate to us. My family and I are always greeted at the door and they have so many programs and events that are so much fun. It's a beautiful church and I am very blessed to be apart of this wonderful community.

  Love this church! I have finally found a church where I don't have to drag my family every Sunday. We all enjoy the wonderful services, sermons, youth programs, Sunday school, seniors programs, etc. There is something for everyone here. My kids especially love seeing all the technology used; from the website - to social media - to live broadcasts!

  A year and a half ago, my family became members of Prophet Elias. Best thing that's ever happened to our us. Our teenage boys found a community they can call home-they look forward to attending church and Greek dance class.
  My husband joined the choir and I, the ladies of Philoptochos.
  I am excited for the future of Prophet Elias and I look forward to being a part of it.

  Its a shame that someone like Romy would judge an entire faith with such pride and arrogance. If you were my spiritual child, I would be harsh with you and ask you to look at yourself first before judging others. This community, though never perfect, does a lot of good Christian work and our message is always to open our doors to anyone, to examine our own selves first and not pass judgement. Maybe you should come and see how wonderful this community is and how humble and loving the Orthodox faith is. If you have had a bad experience, well, maybe you shouldn't judge all by the actions of one. Prophet Elias has been a god send for my family and many others. 5 Stars!
