Any week at the cottage would be incomplete without visiting this place.

(August 9, 2020, 11:26 pm)Nice boat ride in. Ample docking. The fish is great with an excellent selection of local freshwater varieties. Everything was well prepared and the super-busy staff was friendly and helpful. Make sure you call ahead to reserve your food as the kitchen gets backed up. Nice little shop underneath that serves ice cream.

(July 8, 2020, 3:58 pm)Best fish and chips on the planet. Great salads and sides as well (try the escargot). Incredible home made desserts that change weekly. Drinks are fantastic and your hosts will stop at nothing to ensure you have nothing but the best care. Be sure to say hi to Sarah and Terry and meet the team behind the dream.

(June 22, 2020, 1:41 am)We were excited to try Take Out at Gilly’s today, hoping that we would be able to sit near the restaurant to eat our favourite fish and chips. We phoned in our order at 11:30 and chose a time for pickup. We arrived early to find open picnic tables where we could sit and still have physical distancing. We could order beer or wine along with soft drinks. The food as usual was tasty and hot. Service was attentive and incredibly friendly. It was very obvious that a lot of thought had gone into making Gilly’s Covid safe! Thank you for another wonderful eating experience and we look forward to more meals this summer!
