  After our recent travel to Cuba i've realized how blessed we are here to have such a great airport. Clean, well organized and so professsional. Great management!

  I've used this airport several times, and out out of all the many airports I've been to, around the world, I gotta say this one is the best. I know this airport is small (compared to other international airports), but because of the size, it is fairly easy to locate terminals and gates. This place isn't usually crowded (which also helps you find your gate), but there are quite a lot of securities, to ensure safety for the travelers. This whole place feels very "cozy" and relaxed, which I think is great, before a possible long and busy travel that awaits. There are few "proper" restaurants where you can eat, but I would just recommend eating in a place like Tim Hortons, which would save tons of your travel budget. Everything here is clean, and I especially love the interior design, with lots of traditional Canadian arts displays which some travelers can spend some time on, to enjoy viewing them. Overall, a great experience, and this is the right place to start or end an exciting travel!!

  The self service bag drop is awful. I think it's taking more time now than when they just had an agent do everything.. it's akin to the self serve grocery checkout where there's consistently an error to place items in the bag area and remove them. It seems to only like very specific sized bags. I love a good self serve system, but it needs improvement.

  I love Ottawa's airport, so clean, never busy or overcrowded, I mean is an airport, there's always people, but if you consider that Ottawa is a capital city, an yet you can always have a less stressful experience than similar airports in many other countries. Airport opens at 4:00m (front desk) so if you have an early international (i.e. 6am) flight you don't need to be 3 hours earlier. US Custom officers are nice and generally more relax than other airports. It's always easier to clear customs in Ottawa, than let say Toronto. I really enjoy this airport.

  Ottawa's McDonald Cartier International Airport is perhaps a smaller airport than one might imagine for Canada's capital city, however it is an excellent facility which champions speedy check-in and Arrivals and a pleasant concourse experience for travellers bound for worldwide destinations. I needed to use security once to recover some travel documents I left at baggage collection and officers were helpful and thorough in helping me out of a pickle. Small town user friendly service in a big city airport. Well impressed.
