  We had a very pleasant trial, and respite stay that my husband felt comfortable in and we will return to in the near future. Any one who has been at Redwood Retirement for many years, has been pleased to be there. We felt welcomed by staff and management and the good service The choice of meals, and recreation, fitness & wellness were enjoyed & appreciated by both of us. Our bedroom suite with full kitchen,
  and living room, was pleasant and well furnished.
  I look forward to returning and highly recommend this 'happy' well-organized charming life style, at The Redwoods. Barbara & Duane

  I would like to thank management and staff for their support in organizing a recent get-together of about 20 of our friends who have made The Redwoods their home. Your arrangement for space, set-up and take-down, coffee / tea, and snacks, to make us all comfortable made it possible for us to enjoy visiting everyone at once. The white table cloths and flowers were a nice touch and much appreciated by all.
  
  Again, thank you, especially to April, Chantal and Alex for all you have done to make our gathering a great, enjoyable success.

  My parents moved into Redwoods 31/2 years ago and loved it right away. Like most people they were reluctant to leave their private residence but after only a few weeks at Redwoods they said they wished they had moved there sooner. The staff has always been friendly and helpful to both my parents and the rest of their extended family. Being able to tailor the level of assistance and services to meet their changing needs over time at Redwoods has afforded my parents the ability to stay living together longer. We really appreciate all they are doing.

  As a professional performer, I have been working with the Redwoods since 2007 and specifically with Lauren Georgy-Yang for the last 4 years few years and it is always been a pleasure and a positive experience.
  
  When dealing with an Activities Director, there is always the expectation that all details, arrangements and show requirements will be dealt with efficiently as it is imperative to the success of the performance for all concerned. Lauren’s and The Redwoods Residence attention to detail has always been paramount and dealt with not only to my satisfaction but to all the residents attending the show. I never hesitate to engage a booking with Lauren as she has definitely earned my trust by demonstrating over and over her qualifications and attention to detail. I have always noticed while I am there that all the residents I come in contact with really appreciate the attention and care they get from all the staff and truly enjoy living there … it shows.

  My wife and I have been happy living at the Redwoods for over four years. The staff take excellent care of the residents. Each staff member always seems pleased when asked to do a service.
  The dining facilities are very good. The meals are usually excellent. There are choices at every meal and the menus are varied.
  During the blackout of Ottawa the staff made great efforts to ensure the residents were looked after. Meals were served in the apartments. Nobody went hungry. The managers joined other staff working many hours overtime to ensure the best possible service to the residents.
  The distant view from our apartment is excellent. We like to watch the sail boats in the Ottawa River in summer. Looking in the other direction we can see the buildings downtown.
  Our apartment is about 950 square feet - larger than apartments in other retirements homes we have seen.
