  I give Richard Haney's family mediation services the highest recommendation! I decided to resolve a difficult family dispute by using a professional mediation service. I did an Internet search and found The Ottawa (Nepean) Counseling & Mediation Services. I called the number and from the minute Richard spoke on the phone, there was an instant connection between us! I saw Richard for 5 sessions and found them all extremely constructive and beneficial for my family situation. They were relaxed yet engaging and I found he definitely has a knack for explaining points in ways that are not overly academic but more layman style. In particular, I was appreciative when he picked up on a particular personal trait I work on. Richard was quite impressed with how I maintained myself which I found very reassuring. I was not expecting that when I went to see a family counselor/mediator. I got more out of Richard Haney's family mediation service than I expected.

  I couldn't recommend Richard more highly as a counsellor. He has been a great help to my family and his knowledge, empathy, and genuine humanity are a value to the Ottawa community. If you are seeking guidance, look no further.

  Richard is an amazing counsellor, he is caring and takes the time to see it from every angle. He has an amazing knowledge base and not to mention the life experience he has,that says so much more than the counsellor who is only counselling from a text.
  He "Gets it". "Understands" with compassion. He genuinely has a love to help human kind, so that we all have the happiness and peace we all so desperately want in our lives. If you want the "Real Deal" for your dollar, I recommend you go to the counsellor that will help guide you to the answers you seek.

  Richard is always empathetic, he listens hard, he uses all his skills and experience gained over lifetime to provide his clients with his best advice and counsel. He always tells it as it is - the unvarnished truth - don't look for sugar coated guidance from this man!
  
  Richard's deep understanding of the spectrum of human behavior coupled with his problem solving ability make him a great counsellor.
