(July 30, 2017, 4:24 pm)Loved working there. Trainers and staff were all great people. Got to meet people from all over Canada who came to stay and work with their guide dog before taking them home. Hearing their stories about how the dogs improved their lives and allowed them to live independently-- and how grateful they were to CGDB and even someone like me who worked in the kennels-- was touching. Each dog I worked with was wonderful

Although not usually open to the public, we went to visit on doors open Ottawa 2017 and got to see a demonstration of how their dogs do their jobs as well as learn more about the process overall. Did you know they retain ownership of all dogs do that they can go back to them any time and check on their welfare? The clients are carefully selected and never had any problems, but it's a nice safety measure to ensure that these dogs are of service to those most in need
