  I had an amazing experience with Ottawa South Midwives! I was blessed to get Sarah Doyle as my primary midwife and I cannot say enough good about her! She was the perfect fit for me -- super competent, yet calm, gentle and natural. She treated me with the utmost care and respect the whole way through. She listened to me and always understood my needs -- she never rushed a meeting. I had a home birth that went just as I had hoped. It was beautiful. Sarah brought a calm and competent presence and was SO sweet and encouraging to me the whole way through. I'll never forget it -- it actually brings tears to my eyes to remember it! Her care for me after was of top quality as well. She checked up on me and genuinely cared for my wellbeing. She also has a great sense of humour, can't forget that :)))) LOVED her (thank you, Claudia, for matching us up!!). I hope I can deliver my second child with her when the time comes. Kim, my secondary midwife, is excellent as well, as are Erin and Natalie, and the current student Kylie, all of which I had the pleasure of meeting and experiencing. Also, my wishes were always respected. I never felt judged or looked down on for making decisions or having views that were my own. Both receptionists are just lovely as well and were super patient with me always calling to check my appt time because I'd forget (pregnancy brain!!). Finally, I just LOVE their library!!! I think I took out half the books. I learned SO much and grew tremendously as a parent from reading from the excellent, and very large, library selection available to all clients. In sum, I would definitely go with them again. Thank you for an excellent and compassionate experience!

  I am giving 3 star only for my secondary midwife “Helen” otherwise i had worse worse worse experience with my primary midwife “Sharon”. Being myself as a health care provider, I never imagined that it would be such bad experience with such an experienced, well qualified midwife. My first pregnancy after 20 weeks was very emotional journey for me. I expected and hope for the best support atleast good explanation about my scan result from my midwife Sharon but unfortunately things turned out differently. Sharon had no time, always busy(rescheduled my appointment time at last moment), rude ( once hang up phone on me) and didn’t try to understand how Iow and depressed I was even after knowing my 20 weeks scan. I felt that I was being Judged.
  
  On the other hand I am indeed very thankful to “Helen” who took time to listen, explain and understood my feelings. Thank you Helen, my daughter is turning 4 month soon and doing wonderful! Highly recommend Helen ????

  Kim Ferrel is an amazing woman. She loves her job and is eager to be there for you every single step of the way. She is more than a midwife.... She is your therapist while you're pregnant too lol. I never felt judged by her and I was always willing to express my wants and needs and every single time she honored them or explained why it wouldn't be in my children's best interest. I will forever be grateful for what she did for me and her love and support that assisted me with bringing two of my three children into this world. HIGHLY recommend!! Ps. All the midwives are amazing! Sharon is a sweetheart with a cute edge, Erin is the nicest lady, Paula is like the guru of child birth, etc.

  I absolutely loved my midwife Kim and the student. They provided amazing care! I would recommend them to everyone!

  We recently had our first child and were very impressed with the excellent care provided by​ Ottawa South Midwives​ during all the stages of pregnancy, birth and caring for a newborn. Helen was our primary midwife ​and she was fantastic. Professional, caring, supportive, and thorough. Appointments were never rushed; we were always given time to voice any concerns or questions. I highly recommend this clinic!
