I started to play violin 9 years ago as a 9-year old and never looked back. Dave is my patient teacher and mentor, knowledgeable and understanding, who has made me more passionate about violin than anything else.
Under Dave's eye, I have progressed through RCM, and play in the Ottawa Youth Orchestra. In the Spring of 2018, this brought me to play in concert with the NAC orchestra. -

David is very patient and knowledgeable of different genres music that he’s able to bring diverse teaching approaches to the lessons. A dedicate, passionate and enthusiasm teacher who inspires kids greatly.

David Avanesov is not just a technical academic pianist; his vast experience in live music shows clearly in his patient approach to teaching, his consistently positive attitude and gentle approach to learning. His understanding of how all the parts fit together to make music drives his holistic approach to teaching. Our son isn’t just memorizing what keys to push to play a song on the piano. He is learning to understand music, and using the piano as a tool to do that. We are delighted with our son’s progress and highly recommend David to anyone who is looking to learn to improve their skills as a musician.

David was able to help me start from the basic techniques to play various songs after only a few months. He has given me the confidence that age does not matter; with motivation you can achieve your goals. David is very flexible and committed to his student’s success. He has great knowledge of various instruments and the ability to help the novice as well as the advance students I am thankful for his weekly help and encouragement. Thanks David!
