If you are looking for a professional service guided by honesty, integrity, and good spirit, then, Ace Body Shope is the place to go.
No-nonsense service. The owner, Lionel, cares for his customers and has a ton of knowledge about body repair and the insurance industry.
Be aware that he likes to tell you his history with fighting insurance companies, so be prepared to spend some time with him on your fist visit.
If you are looking for a modern shop with free WiFi, coffee, nice waiting area, and with a politically correct staff this is NOT the place for you.
Lionel tells you your situation as he sees it, in language that may offend some people, and in the end he repairs your vehicle for a reasonable price and provides valuable advice on how to deal with your insurance company.
Rough around the edges? at times... but he has a heart of gold and will fix your vehicle and then some...often surprises you "extra" fixes and presents a bill at less than quoted. For that, he has won my repeat business over the years. I'd rather play the game and get value, then get free coffee and screwed or way over pay. Don't challenge Lionel, you won't win ;)
Ace Body Shop performs quality body work. The owner (Lionel) has got your back when it comes to not only the insurance company but also to those accidents that you want to settle directly with the other party.
He is very effective at protecting your interests and makes sure that you never get the short end of the stick, or get taken advantage of by the insurance, or the other party.
He's well known in Orleans and the number one person to go to if you're ever in an accident. He's also great for doing touch ups on your car before a sale. I've been back to him repeatedly for his high quality and low cost repairs.
He doesn't cut corners like many other body shops, he does the work right and only uses high quality products to do his work (like the paint). He's hands down the best body shop in Ottawa for customers. He doesn't take advantage nor does he try to milk your business for extra cash.
He's retired and does this work as a hobby and a community service. He's a gruff guy and rough around around the edges but if he's not trying to offend. If you don't take offense like the two previous posters then you'll do yourself a great service.
