I dropped by Distinctive Audio last week and can confirm Rheal is doing very well and his shop has a renewed sense of energy and passion. The store had a new coat of paint, new carpets and some new A/C outlets. Rheal, also looking and sounding refreshed, mentioned he will be hanging some one of a kind, audio related, art onto the walls to make things even nicer...
Distinctive Audio will be celebrating its 30th year anniversary this month (1986 - 2016) and I suggest stopping in to see the new digs.
Items on display while I was there included:
Speakers: Proac, Martin Logan, Wharfedale and Chario.
Turntables: Oracle Paris (the new Origine will be in for the re-opening), Clearaudio Concept and Performance DC tables, as well as a beautiful Jean Nantais model.
Electronics: Audio Note (Kits), Modwright Instruments, Classe, Prima Luna, Magnum Dynalab, Lyric, PS Audio. Shanling, Audio Space, Unico
Cables: Shunyata, Transparent
The Nantais/ Arm? / Cadenza Black > Unico Phono Stage> Modwright LS100 > Modwright KWA 100 > Transparent music wave ultra > Proacs (?) system was playing while I was there and it was very pleasing and fun to listen to... -
