Boss status martial arts. Friendly yet real, this isn't a flowery place. You go here to sweat, get strong and learn combat. KRU Sam Lok is a genuine good person and excellent Martial Artist, key ingredients for the best instructor.

Trained here for only a week so far and here is my personal Opinion

Pros

-- Amazing People
-- Very Knowledgeable Instructors
-- Friendly Atmosphere
-- Ton's of different kinds of programs to try out not just restricted to one
- very good ways on handling/teaching the athletes who attend

Cons

Advice to neakta/Sam

Keep doing the amazing things you do.

Best gym in Ottawa. Kru Sam is very welcoming, approachable, and has a wealth of knowledge to share. In addition, the other striking coaches are fantastic, and Rodrigo teaching BJJ is amazing as well.
The students/community is great and everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Senior members of the gym are quick to help beginners and without judgement.
If you're still debating whether or not to join the gym, at least contact Sam and try some classes. Soon enough, this humble gym will become your home away from home.

I dropped in here to train in August 2018. I sent a Facebook message a few days before arriving in Ottawa and within a few minutes I had a reply warmly welcoming me. Professor Sam was very welcoming and Professor Rodrigo taught a great class. Thanks so much. Everyone was friendly, professional and welcoming!
