I loved going to see Samantha. Her treatments helped control my acne and I saw results quite fast. I’ve been dealing with acne for many many years. I first started with topical prescriptions and spa facials geared towards those with acne prone skin, unfortunately both of those failed to eliminate my acne. In 2014 my doctor allowed me to take an oral medication that would clear up my skin. A few months later my skin completely changed and my acne resolved however, this was not without side effects.

Over the past 2 years I started to notice that I would be consistently getting both superficial and deep, cystic pimples that would never seem to really go away. This was extremely frustrating and disheartening to me as I had already gone the oral medication route and I was taking care of my skin to the best of my ability. I couldn’t understand why the acne wouldn’t go away or why it was getting progressively worse. I was also scared that the only way to resolve this issue would be to go back on the medication, which I am almost certain was the cause of my hair loss that has yet to grow back to what it once was. I didn’t want to have to choose between my skin and hair.

After reading about Samantha’s story on her website I knew I needed to meet with her to see if she could help me clear up my deep-set, hormonal acne. I felt that Samantha and myself have had similar experiences related to acne, which lead me to believe that she would be able to truly understand the frustrations and struggles that come with trying to get rid of persistent acne.

Over the course of the past few months I have had 5 sessions with Samantha. Right from the first session she has been extremely involved and invested in clearing up my skin; she is highly knowledgeable, open and honest. I have never felt like I was being pressured into doing a certain treatment or buying her products (which are awesome by the way). Samantha is a very genuine person and I get the sense that she would do anything in her power to help you achieve your skin goals.

As of now I am SO relieved that I have seen major improvements in my skin without having to take prescribed topical or oral medications. For the first time in a long time I am very optimistic that, with Samantha’s help, I will be able to achieve the skin I desire.

I love getting my lash lifts and tints done by Sam! She is very professional, informative and pleasant to talk to. She walks you though the process step by step so you know exactly what to expect next and you don’t get startled, which I find extremely comforting. The first time I had a lift, my eyes wouldn’t stop watering so the lift didn’t take on one eye. She fixed it right up free of charge and with no hassle. I also suffer from very thin eyebrows and go to Sam to have them tinted. It is actually quite amazing! She tints them to match my hair colour and they always look fantastic, beautifully shaped and quite a bit fuller. I will always go back to Sam for my beautifying needs because I will never have to worry about being disappointed. If you want the best of the best Sam and Aväya Medispa is where it’s at!
