I’ve eaten there in person and also used them to deliver to my grandmother. Always excellent. My grandmother raved so much about the food that she called them to thank the chef!!

(August 14, 2020, 10:10 pm)Such a beautiful place to stay in a quiet, scenic and historic town of Port Hope. The family that run the hotel and restaurant have been nothing but kind to me and my colleagues who stayed there for 2 nights. Whether you're looking to spend the day at the beach (7 minute walk) or roam around the historic downtown you can't help but feel relaxed. The hotel itself has historic significance as it used to be a bank and dairy business. I give them a 10 out of 10 for comfort, food and reliability.

(August 2, 2020, 4:00 pm)Great little hotel in a beautiful little town. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Very good value just a short distance from Toronto. We stayed in room 10 which had just been updated to beautifully preserve the old building's charm with modern amenities.

Last year we met friends for lunch here and I was unimpressed. It wasn’t good and we didn’t go back. BUT
Tonight we ordered for pickup. They brought the best dinner I’ve had in recent memory out to the car, piping hot, perfectly cooked and my husband brought it home. We had cauliflower bites with chili sauce to share, —delicious. My entree was salmon served with rice, broccoli, carrots and summer squash. I don’t eat fish often but I’ll be having this salmon again. It was perfect, moist, tender and flaky. Everything was cooked properly and flavoured just right. My husband says his hamburger was great too.
This fantastic dinner cost no more than an extra large pizza with several toppings delivered to the door. Instead of pizza call The Carlyle.
