New Leaf Canada Inc. is a privately-owned Medicinal Cannabis company that is site plan approved to construct a 31500 square foot state of the art indoor grow and research facility (phase 1) on a 64 acre farm located at 1195 Charlotteville Rd # 5 Norfolk County. Our focus is medical, providing another alternative natural medicine for our people. New Leaf Canada (NLC) aims to help people and the planet change for the better. We will deliver the finest, sustainably-sourced products that are a natural part of your always improving healthy lifestyle. NLC has plans to expand cultivation on it's 40 additional acres and service patient’s world wide while keeping our community as a #1 priority with forecasts of creating more than 30 full time positions for local residents as well as the creation of a wellness education centre to inform patients, the public and officials on the benefits of medicinal CBD.

The founder of New Leaf Canada, Ryan VandenBussche spent 14 seasons as a professional hockey player with the New York Rangers, Chicago Black Hawks and the Pittsburgh Penguins. While Ryan was able to live the childhood dream of so many his physical style of play took its tole. When Ryan retired in 2007 he had undergone 12 surgeries and had suffered more than 20 concussions. This lead to a dependency to traditional pain relief such as prescription opioids. During his first three years of retirement this regime of treatment created a negative effect on his home life, his new career as a real estate professional as well as his physical and mental well being.

In 2010 Ryan began to use medicinal cannabis as an alternate to opioids which allowed him to take back control of all aspects of his life and created a passion within him to advocate for others and create New Leaf Canada as his vessel to do so.

With phase one under construction featuring more than 31,000 square feet of indoor, state of the art research and medicinal cannabis growing facilities in Norfolk County and a planned phase two of more than 40 acres of green house growing plans on the 64 acres Ryan is determined to make New Leaf Canada a leader in research, growing and providing medicinal cannabis for those in need of natural, alternative help.
