Memquisit Lodge

Great fishing and a great lodge for a getaway....watch out for all the rocks in the water. I've been going yearly for the past 4 years and I love coming back!

Everything is great here: cottages, lodge, nature and fishing. There is something for everyone from our family. We already booked for the next year!

First, I have to commend Frank, Charlene and I believe Loral for their hard hard work. It honestly seemed like they did not stop moving while we were there.

Our cabin (11A), was more than enough space for our group of 6. It was spacious and well kept. The extra chest freezer came in handy for our frozen goods.

The Alumacraft boats you can rent are absolutely perfect for fishing these waters and they are in mint condition.

We had some boat issues with our personal boat and Frank went out of his way to take a look at it himself before letting us going out and spending money to have it fixed. He managed to have our boat running and saved us big.

If you are planning a trip to the west arm, they are in the perfect location. They take care of their property, cabins and customers.

We rented a boat from here and had a great experience with pick up and drop off. One of the few places that will rent a boat to people not staying at the lodge. We did not stay there but the cottages looked cozy. Highly recommend checking them out.

Our last day is tomorrow and we don't want to leave. We stayed in Cabin 12 with our kids (7 y.o. and 2 y.o.) and enjoyed every moment of our vacation. The cabin is very rustic but sparkling clean, with everything we needed for basic comfort. We found an island with perfect fishing and swimming spot and took the kids to the island each day. On the island we made fire, grilled meat and marshmallows, and enjoyed the perfect hot weather with cool breeze off the the lake. I found that last 3 cabins (11, 11a?, 12) are perfect for people with little kids, as the location is flat, cottage is close to the lake and you still get good privacy. There are are few minor things such as knives need sharpening or better quality firewood (and bigger bundles), that could be improved, but it didn't bother us that much. The insects were annoying but they weren't as bad as in places we stayed further up north. Fishing was great, my daughter (7y.o) caught bass, pike and even catfish; we made traditional Russian fish soup (Uha) out of those. My husband also caught a bunch of fish, one was so big my 2 year though it was a monster. The kids (and parents) will leave this place with great memories, but we will return for more in August!
