Tuktawayin Bed & Breakfast

Fantastic view & hospitality.

Tuktawayin is one of the best experiences we ever had. I call it "an experience" since this B&B has it all. The house itself is beautiful,clean,spotless and decorated with wonderful taste. You can see Elaine's and Dave's personal touches all over and the room itself is great, spacious, the bed very comfy (it was a while we haven't slept that well outside of our own bed). Plus you get all the amenities as if you were in a real hotel, towels, bathrobes, hairdryer etc. But the highlight for us were the hosts themselves, breakfast is every day at 9am sharp and they prepare you all sorts of fresh goodies and something for every taste and they sit down and have breakfast with you and always tell interesting stories (they are quite the travelers!). They can interact with you as much or as less as you feel like, but they make you feel as if you were a part of their family and you were there for a visit. We loved it so much that we have already booked a weekend for July but are already planning to come winter-time to enjoy some of many activities that you can have around their property and in Gravenhurst in general. If you want to have the best time/food/experience we strongly suggest that you always ask them for advice! Can't wait to be back there!

Elaine and Dave are wonderfully warm and inviting B&B hosts and made our stay most memorable. Tuktawayin is in a fabulous location, on the shore of Gull lake and a very easy 10 minute walk to the centre of the town. The house is spotlessly clean and very comfortable - especially the bed we had! Playing scrabble in the cozy room overlooking the lake was most relaxing. Breakfasts were outstanding - home made/baked and I was particularly impressed that Elaine checked her records to see what my wife had the last time that she stayed to ensure that we had something different.
If you ever had doubts about staying in a B&B rather than a hotel or other option - don't hesitate to book here. Elaine and Dave will make you feel very welcome and their local knowledge and passion will add to your stay. Looking forward to our next trip.

This is my second time staying at this AMAZING bed & breakfast!
It is everything you want in a getaway, including a beautiful breakfast, quiet, peace, nature, walk down to the lake, and not to mention the incredible hosts, Elaine & Dave, who make you feel so comfortable and part of their home!

Fantastic location right on the lake and within walking distance of downtown gravenhurst. The hosts are lovely welcoming people and they have set up everything with comfort and convenience in mind. After a delicious and nutritious breakfast, Elaine took us on a guided snowshoeing walk away from typical trails. Great experience, highly recommend staying here.
