(April 18, 2019, 8:36 pm)I am a bit torn about this place. I really love the view, and the pure fact, that one can have public access to this beautiful spot.
I the summer time, the tiny little beach provides a spot to cool down. The walk in is very shallow for about 30 feet plus. Weeds in the water can be a downer in this experience. That little bit of beach does not have enough space to lay in the sand, and it should be left to the little ones to play in. However, there is a nice piece of lawn, not to far away, where one can relax on a blanket.
Another downer is, that the boats ramp is very shallow. I tried backing in my pontoon boat, and could not get it of the trailer, because the water was too shallow. It was deep enough thought to almost run into my hatch of the car.
Big plus is the Silver Pines Restaurant, in walking distance. Look it up, here on Google maps for details. -
