  The staff are really nice. It’s a decent university gym, but lacks some weight machines to accommodate the students. They also run counters for the weight room, cardio machines, basketball and volleyball courts... although they can be inconsistent. The locker rooms could use updating though compared to other normal and university gyms. For a student, you can’t ask for much more unless you have to come from a long way just to find the weight room super busy.

  Well equipped and huge student gym. Not too busy early in the morning but gets a lot busier during the day.

  Great gym, but horrible management. Decision makers are a cabal of friends that are apathetic about needs of members. Something is always broke and often takes forever to fix. Hours are worst in city. They will close for any excuse. Once closed because it was cold. Now shut down for three holiday breaks rather than just at Christmas. Blame school President for reading week hours saying he said "it's for the well-being of students." Isn't regular exercise best to treat stress and well-being? And who says you must employ 100% students? Can we get a scale that works? Scale gives a + 5 lb reading and young female employee says she thinks it's funny. Members may not feel that way. They stripped everything from the men's change room including scale and even the clock! Why you grinching us? Finally, it appears a good decision was made with a much needed expansion. But more basketball courts? I wonder, had a vote taken place among members if they might prefer an expanded workout area. No democracy here, guys. The upper management cling to power. The gym belongs to the students & alumni. Let them decide.

  Great value if you are Western student, otherwise look elsewhere. Great selection of equipment and weights. Lots of cardio options. Swimming pool is great. This gym gets extremely busy during the academic year. Hours are not the best either after getting cut back in 2017.
