(August 24, 2021, 12:52 pm)A little mourning dove hit our window and couldn't fly after that. We watched and hoped it would eventually be okay, but walked around the yard and couldn't seem to manage to take flight. Decided to call Sandy Pines and so glad they told us to bring it in as soon as we could catch it. Managed to get it there and heard it had head trauma, which would take time to clear. Ten days later we got the call that this sweet little bird had recovered---could fly and be released back to us. Picked up yesterday and when we opened the box in the backyard, it flew straight up like a rocket and away it went. Can't say enough about how wonderful this place is as go above and beyond to do whatever possible to help! Thanks so much for giving this bird it's wings and freedom again!!!! Alvin and Lyn
