Newboro House Bed & Breakfast

Adrienne & I had a lovely stay at The Newboro Bed & Breakfast this past weekend. We came in from Montreal for a family wedding in the area. The B & B was extremely clean and nicely decorated. Nicki is a wonderful hostess. Her breakfast was very filling. We had a great sleep which we needed. Her two doggies were very friendly. I would highly recommend The Newboro B & B to anyone. The street name is catchy too. LOL. September 9, 2018

This place was even better than I’d hoped. Had all the basics, as well as a bunch of extra details that made me feel very welcome in their home. AC, WiFi, local products, toiletries, bath robes—you really get the royal treatment here. On top of that, Nicki is super sweet, and makes a killer breakfast.

40 miles from the US border, and a world away, we have found a hidden treasure on a small strip of land separating the Upper Rideau & Newboro Lakes in Ontario Canada. The Newboro House Bed & Breakfast, a labor of love for the warm & charming proprietor Nicki, and her lovely assistant Max the Wonder Dog (think small chubby over-caffeinated Walmart greeter). Bring your house slippers so you don't scuff the floors, but then relax in the rooms, enjoy the delicious house cuisine, check up on the outside world through the free WIFI, chill out in front of the big screen TV in the common room, have a Keurig anytime of day in the dining room, or simply explore the local area. Try the not-too-fast Poutine and other favorites at JAC's, the architectural Chip Wagon; sip free coffee & browse an amazing variety of items for sale at Kilbourn's on the Rideau (which somehow seems to be bigger on the inside than on the outside), or simply walk around the town & the lakes, and forget the world for a few days. You will love it & you'll definitely want to come back again.
